The Oak Grove Neighborhood Center Plan aims to harness future public and private investments to enhance the livability and sustainability of Oak Grove.
The plan will look at historic Oak Grove Boulevard and connections to the planned light rail station at Park Avenue via the Trolley Trail and McLoughlin Boulevard. Recommendations for transportation, land use and environmental improvements will be made.
Why create a plan?
Many changes are coming to Oak Grove including a new light rail station, redevelopment of the Trolley Trail, and potential improvements through the McLoughlin Area Plan. The planning process offers residents an opportunity to identify what they want from their neighborhood in the future. The resulting plan is the community’s roadmap to help shape a thriving and sustainable neighborhood.
How will the community be involved?
In previous planning efforts, Oak Grove residents identified important neighborhood locations and routes. The community also expressed interest in improving neighborhood livability and sustainability. Building off this important work, Foothill Planning will develop recommendation packages to meet these goals. The Oak Grove community will guide the final plan by reviewing and commenting on the scenarios at an open house.
How will the plan be used?
The Oak Lodge Community Council and Clackamas County Urban Green will use the plan to advocate for changes that will move Oak Grove towards the future that residents want.
Who is developing the plan?
Foothill Planning Associates, a group of students in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program at Portland State University, are developing the plan at the request of the Oak Lodge Community Council (also known as the CPO) and Clackamas County Urban Green.
